8/7/09 L bought a travelling tripod for the coach on her own, which he was able to use when he went to Paris on his family vacation
8-29-09 Coach came back from a three day conference and presented what he had learned and wanted to implement. The entire team embraced the new ideas and immediately set up a plan to sytematically implement the ideas with timelines. Weekly meeting times were carved out from the regular schedule to further discuss these ideas
9/19/09 Pt E missed their appt - we had planned to surprise them with flowers for their 50th anniversary-M personally delivered the flowers to their home
10/2/09 J created information sheet from marketing seminar that she attended on her own time to share at our staff meeting
10/8/09 Pt M brought homemade cranberry bars for our office to enjoy
10/15/09 Team surprised coach and celebrated Boss' Day with card and flowers
10/15/09 M has started calling patients on their birthdays
10/20/09 J thought of and bought box of Noah's bagels as welcome gift for new tenant Dr.'s office upstairs
10/21/09 Coach had lunch with pt B, who also loves photography and brought his photographs he had taken of his grandchildren and landscapes
10/27/09 V brought in Halloween decorations for the office and decorated
10/30/09 Entire team dressed for Halloween and took photos with patients
10/30/09 Pt H and husband dropped off her CT appliance and brought in Halloween cupcakes
11/13/09 Coach's 20th year anniversary-team surprised coach by creating a very touching and personal DVD (created by L with input from the entire team), which included congratulatory messages from coach's friends and colleagues (brainchild of J who personally contacted or visited each individual to take their photo with our logo)--all done completely without coach's knowledge. We then went bowling, followed by lunch at Brulee, ending with a visit to LB Art Museum; many group photos were taken with the tripod
11/19/09 on the actual date of 20th anniversary, team again surprised coach with a huge banner and two of his favorite pies (Lemon Lush and Holiday Lush from Jorgenwald's Bake & Broil--since they did not know which one he liked better). In addition, pt H found out and wanted to celebrate--brought in a beautiful crystal ball--we all celebrated with champagne and pie at the end of the day
12/10/09 this year our Christmas card was a sketch of the entire team, done by coach from group photo taken at anniversary celebration, it was shared with many pts as well as colleagues. The original team portrait was custom framed and placed in prominent place for all to see
12/17/09 Pt B donated a slide of his beautiful painting, thanks to J
12/21/09 Pt M overcame a malfunctioning oven and braved heavy winds to again bring us her annual homemade cranberry bars with private stash for coach
12/23/09 J fell sick and could not attend the annual year end celebration--entire team brought her presents to her house where there was a gift exchange. Coach presented each team member with their own portrait in frames and a copy of the team portrait. The rest of the team then went bowling and had annual x-mas lunch at Gladstone's where the coach went over all the positive events that happened througout the year and expressed his gratitude for each team member's contribution and willingness to adapt without reservations to continually improve our services in the changing times

Pts took photos with our logo during their travels from around the world
Many colleagues visited our office, some with their team to see how we do things
M always made sure lunches were ready by faxing the menus over ahead of time
J was recruited to another office to help out
Coach was invited to be on a panel of experts to share his ideas
Coach reconnected with pts and friends he had lost contact with
Coach got each team member their own copy of Leadership and Self Deception and had a vey enlightening discussion on how it helped each one of us to understand ourselves better and how it will help in our interaction with others including patients
The office was remodelled to give a fresher look and more inviting feel to the office, as well as 3 new paintings by the coach was added to our 'gallery'

Patient P.O. was celebrating her 60th wedding anniversary this month. Staff member, M, sent flowers to patient.
Staff presented bouquet of flowers to patient, GC, who was celebrating her birthday on the day of her appointment.
JA celebrating birthday on 4th of July-staff sang Happy Birthday, presented gift of customized paperweight.
Mailed pen/pencil set to patient, RL, for graduation from college.
Staff development meeting to discuss "Leadership and Self Deception"(book was provided by Dr. to each staff member and read by all in 3 weeks)
Dr. brought 10 books from personal library to share with staff.

J came up with a beautiful announcement to another partner office regarding upcoming lunch to celebrate completion of another 2 yr project; came in on day off while sick (actually needed to have someone else drive her in) to sign up new guest
V took full accountability, apologized for incomplete guest set-up (even though she was not the cause) and held in personal needs (at great personal discomfort) for team leader
M remembered details about guest’ children in Colorado, Az; updated team leader on guest before he met with her--was able to celebrate the guest's personal achievements and congratulate her; brought in food for the entire team to monthly meeting without being asked
L brought in her own supplies for the office: wireless mouse, monitor wiping clothes and food for staff meetings. Researched on her own time and put together a beautiful slideshow presentation in time for upcoming completion celebration
